Coaches, I hope all of you are as excited about the upcoming season as I am!
Congaree Rapid FC continues to take some of its greatest strides in our club's history, and with all-time numbers, a true "home" facility, and the prospects provided by the inaugural Congaree Cup, this club seems to be as poised as ever to build long-standing momentum.
From a technical side, I want to draw your attention to several other opportunities the club will provide for our Rapid players this summer & fall:
- By now, I'm sure all of you are aware of our Summer Training Series. The GK sessions, the Rapid Summer AM sessions, as well as theC3 Summer PM sessions are all geared to enhance the level of play for those individuals willing to put in that extra bit of work. Our players who attended last summer showed great improvement last fall, and similar results should be expected this year!
- CRFC is becoming one of the most technologically savvy clubs in the area, and the state! You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and beginning this summer: Instagram & YouTube! With the last two, we're hoping to not only to promote our players and teams, but to develop an interactive training regimen for our athletes that will include a "Skill of the Week" video, with players able to film themselves on social media under the tag #UpTheRapid. I'll provide links to all shortly!
- This will be the first full season of RAPID (Reaching Athlete's Potential In Development) Points! Since rosters were posted, I have been working to make a full database to maintain records of each individual players' progress within the club, including but not limited to: summer session attendance, outside camp attendance, social media promotion, team player of the week/month, strong club community outreach, etc. I'll be asking your help as we move into the season to assist in highlighting these athletes, as top point earners will earn prizes!
- Lastly, attached to this email is Phase 1 of the total Technical Implementation Plan for CRFC. I ask that each coach take a look at it, and consider how it may benefit your team and the players as we move into the fall. Phases 2 and 3 should hopefully be distributed by the middle of next week.
As always, if I can be of any assistance or if you have additional ideas, please feel free to contact me!
