Parent Info and Tips
All recreation groups will meet on Mondays and Thursdays. (U4/U5/U6/U7 6:00-6:30), U8 and older 6:30-7:30. These times could be adjusted based on registration numbers in each age group. Practices are led by Coerver Coaching with the help of parent volunteers. Games are run by Parents and CRFC Select Team Players. Please contact me if you are interested in leading a group.
We do not set teams. Rosters for each game will be sent out weekly and be based on availability from the pool of players.
It is mandatory to wear shin guards completely under soccer socks. Shin guards are an important piece of protective gear in soccer and they prevent many painful injuries. What may be less well known is that wearing socks over the shin guards is also a matter of safety.
The edge of some shin guards is a potential cut/scrape hazard. There have been instances of a serious injury when two players collided. One player was injured by the uncovered shin guards of another player. Wear the shin guards under soccer socks or use shin guards that are integrated into socks. Bonus tip: shin guards can be washed in the washing machine.
Provide your player with a water bottle for practice and games. There are limited drinking fountains at our facilities so all players need to bring their own beverages. Dehydration is an important factor for safety and enjoyment of the game. Make sure your player has water every day.
Bring your own ball to practices. Put your name and phone number on the ball in permanent marker. U4-U6 use size 3, U7-U12 use size 4.
Cost: $100 – includes uniform shirt.
